Heat Treatment

Heat treatment is an international requirement for the importing and exporting of wood packaging materials (WPM).

 

When exporting or importing WPM, materials need to be clearly marked with an IPPC stamp.

WPM is known to introduce harmful tree and forestry pests and diseases. By using heat treatment this avoids cross contamination.
